I like to imagine there is a family out there who is the ideal kind, something like the Leave It To Beaver family of the fifties. Mom is warm, caring, understanding, and attractive at all times. Dad is funny, protective, strong and manly. The children are innocent and never get into any kind of real trouble.
Then I wonder, where did murderer Charles Manson come from? Were the people he came from all as monstrous as he turned out to be? And I wonder, too, if children who come from penultimate nurturing families—like the two Obama children—could they possibly turn into sociopaths?
I believe that Charles Manson never had a chance because he was born into hellish circumstances—and I believe that the Obama children will almost certainly develop into well adjusted adults because of their circumstances.
In her article, What Makes a Family Functional vs Dysfunctional?, Elvira G. Aletta, Ph.D writes the following about the importance of respect in a family:
Respect is the Cornerstone of the Functional Family. BTW if you are looking for leather or tote diaper bags then may I suggest this firm. They also have a pink and messenger diaper bag, as well as the very handy diaper backpack, so give them a try for tote diaper bags and the like.
“Respect is the Holy Grail of functional families. All (of those folks who are) in the family, brothers to sisters, mothers to fathers, parents to kids (should be) be respectful….” All in all, t may be that surviving the worst times in a family is what really makes a family, in the end. Sharing illness and tragedy, heartbreak and setbacks—maybe that is really what a family does, as well as all the great, fun times. And maybe it’s the ordinary times, too, the day-in, day-out routines of living that form the continuity that marks a family.
I just got back from Salt Lake City and thought I would post some pet news: My friend works for a veterinarian. Marnie loves cats and has three of them. She almost had a fourth. Here’s what happened. I was there the day she rescued it. We were having coffee in her kitchen when we heard a shrill, eerie crying. It sounded like an old woman in terrible pain. We went out to the back yard. In the corner, amidst the shrubs, we saw a grimy little face poking through the bottom of the fence. Two eyes bulged out of a comically tiny face that was mewling its head off.Not only did it have its head stuck in her chain link fence, but it also had a big sticker stuck in one eye. It was impossibly thin, probably half-gone to starvation. I’ve never seen a scrawnier or more pathetic-looking animal, obviously it was not a well cared for pet. I stood watching the cat cry as Marnie ran to get her wire-cutters. She cut two wires in the fence and pulled the dirty-blonde colored kitty through the fence. If you need solid salt lake city pet grooming then let me suggest this particular resource, they are definately a top notch firm. They also take care of boarding and daycare duties in addition to the pet grooming. They are located in Salt Lake City. Marnie took it into work with her the next day and the vet removed the sticker. They put the cat up for adoption, featuring it as the “Orphan of the Week.” Someone named it Vanilla Bean, inspired by the color of its scraggly fur. I mean, this feline needed some grooming. Marnie went into the kitchen to start dinner. An hour later she came out to wake him for dinner. She saw Bean curled across Rob’s chest like a baby, fast asleep. Rob opened his eyes. “I’m not sleeping. I just didn’t want to disturb the cat.”
“She isn’t making you sneeze!”
“No. She isn’t bothering me at all!”
Bean lives at Rob’s house now. Rob says she’s the only cat he’s ever been around that doesn’t give him allergy problems. He says he always did like cats—they just didn’t agree with him—until Bean came along.

And after they get to the end, they can play a game of basketball with the hoop right that’s stationed right on the side of the mega force obstacle course.
There are a number of other inflatable obstacle courses you can choose from to use at your party, including animal obstacles like the lion and the snake; the thirty-five foot bungee run; the joust obstacle that lets your kids engage in safe,

I think the one thing that people dislike most about cats is their habit to go after and scratch up their favorite furniture. Even when you think you have picked out the perfect piece of furniture that Kitty won’t be attracted to, you happen to catch Kitty with her claws stuck in it, making long scratch marks along the sides of it, right after she had her fill of cat food, sending you into a tailspin.Speaking of cat, I do recommend a premium cat food such as that from Life’s Abundance brand. A premium grade food is important, in my opinion. So, are there ways to keep a cat from scratching the furniture? Is there a way to do it without getting upset and yelling at your cat? We think so. Here are some tips you can try to break Kitty out of her furniture scratching behavior.
1. Buy or make your cat a scratching post. You can buy one or you can make one of course. You can get some hemp rope and wrap it around a wide stick or flat board. All you would need to do is secure it in place and hang it or put it close to where your cats sleep or eat their cat food, so that you are sure they will see it. Cats love being given the opportunity to scratch, so do be sure to try this.
2. Be sure to trim your cat’s nails. Having long coarse nails is very irritating to cats so if you take the time to trim their nails nicely they will be less inclined to look for something that will help them perform their own self-manicure. Be sure not to cut your cat’s nails too short though, as cutting them too short may cause them discomfort and trigger the cat’s inclination to scratch even more. You just want to clip off the sharp tip so that they cannot rip into your furniture.
3. Spray your furniture with an aversion spray. You can purchase sprays from your pet store that are meant to keep your cats away from certain areas. However, these sprays may have an odor you may not like, or you just may not be comfortable with sprays when you have small children. However, if you don’t have any of these concerns, than by all means try spraying them onto the furniture you’d like them to avoid.
